The company

Who isbehind X1.

You are trusting X1 with your household's documents, so here is who is behind it, what it does and does not do, and how to reach a person.

Who you are dealing with

Mat Silverstein

Founder. Product, engineering, support.

Mat Silverstein founded X1 and runs it: product, engineering, and the support inbox. He spent years at Wealth Factory working with entrepreneur households, which is where the problem got specific. People paid for good strategies, then stalled partway through putting them in place, because every professional held one piece of the picture and nobody held all of it.

Before X1 he built Minutes, an on-device meeting recorder and transcriber with over 1,400 stars on GitHub, and PDF Tools, which shipped in the first batch of Claude Desktop extensions. X1 applies the same idea to financial documents: read them correctly, file them under the right entity, and keep what the household learns.

Cofounded with Jex Musa.

What X1 is, and is not

X1 is software. It reads the documents you give it, keeps a record of your household (the businesses, trusts, properties, policies and the people who look after them), answers your questions from that record with the page it came from, and prepares the question for your CPA, attorney or advisor when one is needed. You approve anything that goes to them.

X1 is not a registered investment adviser, a broker, a bank, a law firm or an accounting firm, and it does not hold your money or assets. Your professionals keep their judgment and their licenses. X1 makes their work, and yours, easier to see.

We launched in May 2025. Garrett Gunderson, author of Killing Sacred Cows, is a paying customer and uses X1 in his advisory practice. We would rather you judge us by what the product does with one of your documents than by this page, which is why the first account is free.

The entity, and how to reach a person

X1 Wealth is operated by X1 Wealth Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation. Mailing address: 7660 Fay Ave, H141, La Jolla, CA 92037. We work from San Diego and New York.

Write to hello@x1wealth.com and a human answers it.

How we handle your documents, which providers touch them, and what you can export or delete is on the security page and in the privacy policy. Why we are building this at all is in the manifesto.
