How the QuickBooks connection works.

X1 reads your reports. It never writes to your books, and you choose which companies to connect.

  1. 01

    Connect QuickBooks

Sign in to Intuit and approve X1 Wealth for the company you choose. Connect each company separately if you run more than one.

  2. 02

    X1 reads the reports

X1 reads the company's profit and loss for the last 30 days, the year to date, and the trailing 12 months, plus its balance sheet, and goes back 24 months for history.

  3. 03

    The business joins your record

Each company joins your household record as a business, next to your trusts, properties, and accounts, so cash in the business and cash in the household sit side by side.

  4. 04

    Stay current

X1 refreshes the figures every day, and you can sync on demand. When the numbers move, X1 tells you what changed and what to check.

Questions about QuickBooks and X1.

Can X1 change my books?
No. X1 only reads reports and company details. It never creates or changes invoices, bills, payments, or entries, and it doesn't move money.
What does X1 read from QuickBooks?
Cash, receivables, payables, revenue, expenses, and net income, from the profit and loss and balance sheet reports. X1 reads the last 30 days, the year to date, and the trailing 12 months, and goes back 24 months when you first connect.
How often does X1 update the figures?
Every day, and whenever you choose Sync now in your connection settings.
I run more than one company. Can X1 read them all?
Yes. Connect each company, and each one shows up on your household record as its own business.
Can I send the statements to my CPA?
Yes. X1 can save twelve months of profit and loss, with period-end balances, to your Vault as statements, ready to share with your CPA.
Do I need a membership?
Yes. Seeing your business books in X1 is part of membership.
What happens when I disconnect QuickBooks?
X1 deletes the QuickBooks credentials it stored and stops syncing. The figures and statements X1 already has stay on your record until you delete them. You can also remove X1 Wealth from the apps connected to your Intuit account.
