How the Box connection works.
Nothing comes into X1 until you pick it, and nothing is filed under your household until you confirm it.

Connect Box
Box asks you to approve X1 Wealth. X1 asks for permission to read and download your files. It can't change anything in your Box.

Choose a folder
In your Vault, open Box and pick a folder to keep synced, or copy a few files once. X1 copies only what you pick.

Confirm what X1 found
X1 names each document, pulls out key facts for you to check, and suggests the business, trust, or property it belongs to. You confirm it or mark it Not mine.

Keep it current
When a file in a synced folder changes, X1 brings in the new version so you are not working from an old copy.

Questions about Box and X1.
- Can X1 change or delete my Box files?
- No. X1 asks Box only for permission to read and download. It can't edit, move, upload, or delete anything, and your files stay where they are.
- What does X1 do with a document from Box?
- X1 identifies what kind of document it is and pulls out facts such as names, dates, and amounts for you to review. It also suggests which business, trust, property, or account the document belongs to. Nothing is filed under your household until you confirm it.
- Do I need a membership?
- Yes. Importing from Box is part of X1 membership. With a free account you can add one document from your computer and see what X1 finds in it.
- Which files can X1 read?
- PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, JPG, and PNG files, up to 50 MB each.
- What happens when a file in Box changes?
- If the file is in a folder you keep synced, X1 brings in the new version. A file you copied once stays as it was when you copied it.
- My company manages our Box. What do I tell the admin?
- Some Box admins approve apps before anyone can connect them. Ask yours to approve X1 Wealth from the Box Integrations catalog. X1 shows its Box App ID in your connection settings so you can pass it along.
- What happens when I disconnect Box?
- X1 revokes its access to your Box and deletes the Box credentials it stored. Documents already in your Vault stay there until you delete them.
